Intrauterine insemination (iui) is when sperm is placed directly into the uterus using a small catheter. This increases the number of healthy sperm that reach the fallopian tubes when the woman is most fertile, which in turn, can increase chances of fertilization.
IUI is for:
Women who haven’t had success with other fertility treatments (like medication and insemination)
Individuals or couples with PCOS, endometriosis, low sperm count, and other fertility diagnoses
Single women wishing to start a family with donor sperm.
Those who want pregnancy on-demand, including LGBTQIA+ couples and single women
The process,

Initial Fertility Testing and Diagnosis
Depending on your reason for choosing IUI, you’ll go through diagnostic testing to see what the cause of your infertility is. Depending on the results, IUI may not be necessary or feasible, or the doctor might recommend alternative treatments to start.
Pre IUI Consultation
The doctor will review your diagnosis with you and discuss your treatment options. If you decide to use IUI, our doctor and staff will go over the entire process including financials to determine if IUI is right for you.
Stimulate Egg Growth
Medication will be prescribed for up to two weeks to stimulate the ovaries to produce eggs.
Sperm Injection
Sperm will then be injected into the uterus at the time of ovulation.
Pregnancy Test
After two weeks, you will take a pregnancy test to determine if the IVF transfer was successful.
